Nancy Sindelar Presents A Visit to Papa's Places
Join us for an author lecture with Nancy W. Sindelar on Wednesday, April 26th. Author of Influencing Hemingway: The People and Places That Shaped His Life and Work, Sindelar will take us on a tour of the places Ernest Hemingway lived and worked and will discuss the impact these places had on the life and work of the legendary author. You'll tour Oak Park, Illinois, Paris, France, Chamby, Switzerland, Key West,
Florida, San Francisco de Paula, Cuba and Ketchum, Idaho and view photos of
his houses and consider the impact these places had on the life and
work of the legendary author.The lecture will begin at 6:30 p.m. in The Learning Center (TLC).
Nancy W. Sindelar, Ph.D. is the author of Influencing Hemingway: The People and Places That Shaped His Life and Work and has made many popular presentations about the life and work of Ernest Hemingway. She presented at the International Colloquium Ernest Hemingway in Havana, Cuba in 2011, 2013 and 2015, spoke at the American Literature Association Conferences in Washington, DC (2014), Boston (2015) and San Francisco (2016) , spoke at the Hemingway Society Conferences in Venice, Italy (2014) and Oak Park, IL (2016) , and keynoted at the Hemingway Festival in Sun Valley, ID in 2014 and 2015.
She also has presented at the American Library in Paris, keynoted the Michigan Hemingway Society Conference and the Hemingway Days in Key West, Florida. She guided a walking tour of young Hemingway's Oak Park at the Hemingway Society Conference and has been a guest lecturer at numerous libraries and universities. She is a board member of the Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park and teaches Hemingway: The Man, The Writer, The Legend at University of California, Riverside.
